Overview

The R/V Cape Hatteras is a research vessel owned and operated by Cape Fear Community College. It is primarily used as an oceanographic training vessel for students, but it can also be chartered by other agencies for oceanographic research. It is 41 meters long and 9.7 meters wide. It has a cruising range of 6,000 miles, an endurance of 25 days, and can support up to 8 crew members and 19 scientists.
